Dictionary 4 Life

Rotary Club of Beaconsfield supports the Rotary's Dictionary 4 Life initiative.

Special versions of the Usborne Illustrated English Dictionary are purchased and distributed to local primary schools.  Each year, these dictionaries are distributed to Year 6 pupils.

In 2025, the organising club, Battersea, Brixton & Clapham received orders for almost 23,000 dictionaries from 115 clubs, and Beaconsfield is please to be one of those 115 clubs.

The primary aim of this is to be as a personal aid to improve the literacy of the recipient, as they navigate their way through their final year of primary school and the early years of their secondary education.
